Welcome to the Globe Inn

Located in Herston on the northwest edge of Swanage, The Globe Inn is a traditional 18th-century Dorset pub. In May 2024, a group of local residents proudly took on its tenancy, and since then, we’ve completely refurbished and redecorated the inn to create a clean, cosy, and welcoming environment. We have also restored our beautiful garden to its full glory. We have added a large marquee, which is available to hire for events.

Children and dogs (with responsible parents/owners) are very welcome.

When the weather turns chilly, you’ll be greeted by the warmth, crackle, and comfort of our open fires.

Our 5* Cask Marque accredited bar and cellar offer an excellent selection of lager, cider, and cask ales, consisting of Pravha, Staropramen, Madri, Cruzcampo, Thatchers Gold, Inches Cider, Neck Oil and Guinness, alongside Timothy Taylor Landlord, Doom Bar, Otter Bitter and Proper Job IPA cask ales. We haven’t overlooked non-alcoholic and low-alcohol options either. Our offerings include non-alcoholic lagers, ciders, Guinness, and gins, along with a gluten-free lager and bitter.

Sam our cook will shortly be introducing our Spring menu from our 5* food hygiene rated kitchen. Food is served Thursday and Friday 5pm to 9pm, Saturday 3pm to 9pm and Sunday 12pm to 4pm.

For live sports enthusiasts, The Globe Inn is your home away from home. We’ve got Sky Sports and TNT showing on three HD televisions in the bar, plus additional screens in our garden and marquee for special events. Outside of these occasions, you’ll find only chilled background music to enhance your experience.
